Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Hand and Foot ("we", "our", or "the App") — a classic Hand and Foot card game — collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User"). This privacy policy applies to the App and all products and services offered by us.

1. Information We Collect

We are committed to protecting your privacy. The App collects only the minimum necessary information required to provide core game features:

Account Registration & Authentication Data: When you create an account or log in to the App, we use Firebase Authentication (a Google service). Depending on the sign-in method you choose, we collect your email address and a secure password, or basic Google account information (email and display name) when signing in with Google. Guest play uses an anonymous account with no personal information. This data is used solely to securely identify you, save your game progress, and manage your account.
Profile and Game Data: Your chosen display name, optional profile photo, in-game credit balance, win/loss counts, and ranking scores are stored on Firebase (Google) servers to power your profile and rankings. Match state for online 1v1 games and local settings (such as game speed and sound) may also be stored.
Device Identifiers and Ad Data: We use third-party advertising services (Google AdMob) that may collect device-specific information, such as your device's Advertising ID (IDFA on iOS / AAID on Android), IP address, and interaction data with advertisements. Where required by law (e.g. GDPR regions), you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown (via Google's UMP consent form).
In-App Purchases: Purchases of in-game credits are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment card details; we only receive confirmation of the purchase so we can credit your account.

2. How We Use Collected Information

We may collect and use Users' personal information for the following purposes:

To authenticate users and manage accounts: Your credentials are encrypted and managed securely via Firebase Authentication to allow you to log in across your devices.
To provide game features: Your profile, credit balance, and scores are used to display your progress and rankings. Offline play against bots does not require sharing personal data with other players. Online 1v1 matches use your display name and account id so opponents can see who they are playing.
To serve advertisements: We use Google AdMob to display ads within the App to keep the game free to play. These ads may be personalized based on your device identifier according to Google's policies and your consent choices.
To process in-app purchases: Purchase confirmations from Apple or Google are used to deliver the credits you bought.

3. Third-Party Services

The App incorporates third-party APIs and SDKs that may collect information used to identify you. You can review the privacy policies of these third-party providers here:

4. Account and Data Deletion (Your Rights)

We respect your right to control your personal data. In compliance with Apple's App Store and Google Play guidelines, you can completely delete your profile and account data at any time.

How to delete your account:

You can delete your account directly inside the App from the Profile screen by selecting the "Delete Account" option. Alternatively, you can request account deletion by emailing spellmeierlucian@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. See also our account deletion instructions.

Upon requesting deletion through the App, your profile, authentication credentials (email), profile photo, credit balance, and associated player data will be permanently removed from our databases and Firebase Authentication servers. This action is irreversible.

5. Security of Your Data

Your authentication credentials and game data are handled through Google's secure Firebase infrastructure. We adopt appropriate data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is a casual card game suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described above. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We have the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect.
